Most Athan apps either keep your data and/or bombard you with ads. I wanted a quick, simple way to check prayer times without the noise — with calculation method functionality and a countdown timer built in.

What it does

  • Shows daily prayer times based on your location
  • Lets you switch calculation methods
  • Highlights the next prayer and shows a live countdown timer

What it uses

  • React + TypeScript (web)
  • Aladhan Prayer Times API (timings + calculation methods)
  • date-fns for date/time formatting
  • hijri-converter for Hijri date display
